Advertised Summary Job Description: Reporting to the Director of College Alumni Marketing in the office of Columbia College Alumni Relations & Communications, the Assistant Director helps design and execute marketing communications across all channels, especially email and supports project delivery for alumni-facing communications from the CCAAD organization in support of the Columbia College Alumni Association, the Core-to-Commencement campaign, and the 100th Celebration as well as others.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Supports development of key marketing communication strategies and assets, including campaign development and associated content creation.
-Under the guidance of the Director and in partnership with the marketing team members, the Assistant Director helps with copywriting and graphic design work to support marketing communications, adhering to the brand guidelines and marketing objectives, all driving towards increasing alumni engagement and community participation.
-The incumbent creates and deploys email marketing assets and assists in developing print or other digital assets including invitations, volunteer recruitment/education, newsletters and community messaging, amongst others.
-This individual has input and responsibilities in helping with segmentation, testing and data reporting and analysis.
-Other duties as relevant and needed.
General Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent required. A minimum of two to three years' experience in a marketing or communications role with demonstrated experience and expertise in copy writing, editing, development and implementation of email, social media, web and graphic design experience required.

Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: Experience with InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver is preferred. Exquisite attention to detail is mandatory. Must have the ability to work autonomously with minimal direction as well as in a team setting. Skilled at working under tight deadlines with competing demands is essential.
