Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, the Manager of Marketing provides a blend of technical, strategic, and interpersonal skills to drive marketing solutions to improve member engagement, increase revenue, and grow Society brand awareness. This position works across all channels, including direct mail, email, web, and social media. Responsible for planning, implementation and ongoing management of marketing activities including, but not limited to, annual meeting, CEU, publications, broadcast email, and general Society activities, including our premier journals, Clinical Practice Guidelines, self-assessment products, and future enhancements to our content portfolio. This position will also focus on the marketing and promotion of Endocrine Society awards.
What you’ll bring to the job:
BA/BS in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration, or English preferred.
Experience working in a health and/or science association preferred.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing/promotion.
Communication, organizational and analytical skills.
Experience in planning and implementing promotions and advertising.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.

What you’ll own:
Directing the registration promotion for Annual Meeting, ENDO, and CEU including:
Ensuring content is appropriately used in all messaging for each unique initiative.
Developing strategy for increased registration and retention.
Mark Your Calendar direct mail, Abstract Brochure, Preliminary Program, Final Registration Program, registration direct mail campaign, external and internal advertising campaign.
Managing the creative development, production, distribution, tracking and providing a recap of marketing activities noted above.
Managing input and buy in from a large internal team for cross-sell opportunities, copy development, and approval.
Developing editorial calendar and copy Endocrine News articles.
Managing calendar and copy development for robust broadcast email campaign.
Managing editorial calendar and copy development for monthly e-newsletters.
Managing media buy for print ads and Web banners. Developing ads for the various insertions.
Managing promotion around abstract submission deadline.
Managing a budget.
Maintaining brand guidelines and communicate guidelines to all Society vendors.
Directing and implementing strategies for ENDO Booth marketing, including:
Identifying signage opportunities and working with various vendors to develop on-site signage.
Developing PPT presentations for screen displays for the ENDO booth, if needed.
Overseeing the packing of all marketing-related items for the meeting.
Managing the cover art and development and placement of house ads for two meeting publications.
Managing internal team to develop CMES brochure.
Managing internal teams to develop coupon book for registration bags.
Managing the creative development, production, distribution, tracking and providing a recap of marketing activities for all items that fall into the “meetings” revenue stream.
Supporting Marketing leadership as requested to meet deadlines and fulfill responsibilities as an active member of the team.
Developing tactical marketing plans for Clinical Practice Guidelines, Scientific Statements, self-assessment and other clinical content.
Collaborating with the Publication, Education and Awards teams to:
Identify and suggest new free content resources to use for lead generation based on Society priorities and customer need (webinars, podcasts, toolkits, eBooks).
Serve as a team player in the creation of free content for lead generation and nurturing (such as author tool kits for using social media, webinars on Clinical Guidelines).
Implementing tactics – email automation, social media, video, google analytics, and other platform analytic tools, landing pages with offers and lead capture.
Writing marketing copy, headlines, and descriptive text for web, social media content, email copy, and video scripts; identifying best practices in marketing content copy.
Creating annual direct marketing production schedule, tied to content and editorial calendar.
Managing analytics, metrics and campaign reporting related to direct mail and advertising activities.
