Boise State University invites interested applicants for the position of Marketing and Promotions Graduate Assistant. The successful applicant will become part of our team as we build a Metropolitan Research University of Distinction. This position will be responsible to maintain marketing and promotions standards for select sports and groups within Boise State Athletic Department with primary objectives dedicated to attendance, atmosphere, revenue and branding. The position will require a strong, working knowledge and understanding of NCAA, Conference and Institutional rules and regulations.
You will have the opportunity to:
Serve as Marketing Manger for select sports, including the following:
Creation of marketing plans, game management, scripts/run-of-show, fan engagement and summaries.
Collaboration with ticket office on sale initiatives.
Oversight of design and approval of promotional flyers and distribution.
Promotion of sports-specific events leading up to games for selected sports.
Lead communications with other departments for select sports on timing, programs, advertising, social media and other needs.
Football Game Day Promotions Coordinator:
Coordinate all on-field events and promotions as they relate to in-game experience.
Manage pre-game efforts including team of student interns, fan zone set up, Bronco Walk and any additional needs.
Men’s and Women’s Basketball:
National Anthem Halftime Scheduling and Coordination.
Assist with Game Day Sponsorship and Fulfillment.
Assist in video board production and in-game execution.
Oversight of all on-court promotions.
Management of both student and public lobbies.
Liaison to Cheer/Mascot/Mane Line for football game day and individual sports.
Manage Marketing Collateral Requests.
Oversight of On-Campus, Student Marketing:
The Corral Student Section
Residence Life Coordinator
Student Rewards Coordinator
Assist Asst. AD for Marketing in Needs for Boise State stakeholders including Fan Advisory Committee and Downtown Branding efforts.
Direct Supervision of Interns with fellow Graduate Assistant:
Interview / Hiring / Training
Scheduling of office hours.
Special Events as Needed.
Be responsible for maintaining NCAA, Mountain West Conference and Boise State rules Compliance
This position will be required work nights and weekends
Position will begin in June 2018
Finalist must enroll and be admitted into the Master of Athletic Leadership program (http://hs.boisestate.edu/mal/) at Boise State University upon acceptance of position
Finalist must attend classes starting in June 2018

At a minimum, you should have:
A Bachelor’s Degree
Knowledge of NCAA Rules and Regulations regarding compliance issues
Experience within the field of Collegiate Athletics Marketing.
General knowledge of graphic design and corresponding Adobe software.

Position is a 2 year appointment. Salary will be paid as a biweekly stipend and will include primary insurance coverage. Graduate school and fees will be paid for the 2-year Master of Athletic Leadership program while maintaining completion of degree requirements.
