The Marketing Web Developer is a hands-on technician responsible for providing and guiding web-based solutions to meet business requirements for Dean Health Plan. The Marketing Web Developer will:
Work with various teams both inside and outside Dean Health Plan to determine business needs and potential solutions
Contribute to building of specifications for and coordinate deployment of web applications
Provide technical guidance to end users for updating website content
Provide technical leadership and promotion of internal technologies and web publishing standards
Essential Job Duties:Web Support:
Design, plan and implement web-based forms and applications, including visual appearance, usability, functionality, and overall navigation within the larger system.
Write code as needed using the appropriate platform to create custom forms and features.
Develop custom pages/solutions as appropriate using a CMS (content management system) platform.
Develop technical documentation for project requirements, system configurations, specifications, etc.
Provide end-user support for websites and applications; diagnose and fix bugs and problems.
Apply new technology, media, interactive research and emerging standards related to web and digital media.
Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and research potential use at Dean.
Monitor web traffic reports to determine usage and potential areas for improvement.
Actively contribute to corporate knowledge base by sharing information with other support teams.
Contribute to review and maintenance of content accuracy and compliance for website.
Meet with business teams to explain and advocate web solutions.
Meet with project stakeholders/owners to analyze needs and design the appropriate solution.
Propose solutions to problems and consider timeliness, effectiveness and practicality in addressing needs.
Coordinate the contributions of other resources (IT, DBA, etc.) to ensure project completion.
Maintain familiarity with other business systems at Dean to identify potential integrated or alternate solutions.
Establish effective working relationships with internal clients and external vendors.
Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience in information technology or equivalent work experience;OR an Associate's Degree with 5-7 years of relevant work experience;OR a high school diploma, one year of additional schooling and/or training and 10 years of relevant work experience.
A portion of the above experience must be internet/intranet administration, including web deployment and support.
Expert in content management systems (CMS) (preferably Kentico)
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
Experience with compatibility issues between different browsers and computing platforms.
Ability to contribute to application development (testing, implementation, and support).
Ability to clearly document features, technical specifications, and infrastructure requirements for technical work and job processes.
Ability to satisfy a large number and range of user requirements and skillsets while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Ability to apply project management skills to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight timelines.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment while aligning with overall group strategies, objectives and deliverables.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical customers and staff.
Ability to be a proactive and creative solution provider.
Ability to travel to other locations as needed.
Healthcare, managed care, insurance and/or information systems background.
Knowledge of SEO, UX and information architecture.
