The Society of Federal Health Professionals (AMSUS) is seeking a full-time Marketing & Communications Manager. The position is responsible for developing and executing the marketing and communication strategy for AMSUS in order to increase awareness and advance the organization’s vision and mission. The position will lead the development of the association’s strategic goals, branding, member recruiting, and communications efforts. Duties include but are not limited to:
Developing and managing the marketing and communication strategy to reach AMSUS’ target audience of Members, meeting attendees, prospects, corporate sponsors, donors, senior leaders, and media.
Working with AMSUS staff and leadership to measure, monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of marketing programs in support of AMSUS Board of Director directed key performance indicators (KPIs).
Collaborating with AMSUS staff to create and maintain the editorial calendar.
Designing print and digital advertisements to be published on both internal and external media sources.
Managing website content to ensure relevancy and functionality.
Developing and fostering strategic relationships with key external media partners.
Communicating and coordinating with the publication platform (Oxford University Press) to ensure functionality and deliver messages.
Managing vendor and contractor relationships to ensure the highest quality of service.
A successful candidate for this position must have strong organizational and project management skills, be detail oriented, and have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives. Exceptional written and oral communication skills are required as well as strong interpersonal skills in order to develop rapport and trust. Candidates must have the ability to meet deadlines, work independently and collaboratively, and possess a strong work ethic with a high degree of personal initiative.
AMSUS has a 100% remote work environment. All positions must be located in the Washington, D.C. metro area. The salary range for this position is $65K- $70K. AMSUS offers a full benefit package including medical, dental, group life insurance, long-term disability, retirement, paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave.

Candidates must have a minimum of 3+ years of applicable marketing and communications experience; a Bachelor’s degree is required, a focus in marketing or communications is preferred. Experience with WordPress is required. Experience with HTML and Adobe Creative Suite is desirable. Experience in a non-profit association is also desirable.
