Under the direct supervision of the Associate Dean of Enrollment Marketing, the Enrollment Marketing Manager is responsible for executing the marketing and communication plans that help generate, nurture, accept, and yield applicants for the College’s summer programs on the Boston campus. Berklee’s more than 20 summer programs cover all aspects of the music industry, including music performance, production, songwriting, musical theater, and music business. Intended primarily for a pre-college audience, they are an important pipeline to Berklee’s undergraduate programs and a key revenue driver for the overall institution.
The Enrollment Marketing Manager is responsible for completing a variety of initiatives in a timely manner, and at a very high level. As part of a team of innovative and accomplished marketers, the Enrollment Marketing Manager will collaborate with other marketing leads across enrollment divisions, executing on the College’s enrollment vision for summer programs, ensuring summer programs are well positioned in the planning for college-wide marketing initiatives, and supporting cross-divisional visibility within summer programs outreach wherever possible. S/he will work closely with operations and academic program directors to deliver on multifaceted communication plans in support of summer programs.
Collaborating with the Associate Director of Creative Services, the Enrollment Marketing Manager will be closely involved with all outward facing creative direction and output for summer programs on the Boston campus. This position will help make decisions, based on data and testing, for all things creative and marketing-project related.
This role has a direct impact on revenue goals. Successful candidates will have a strong history in marketing and executing on business development opportunities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with the Associate Dean of Enrollment Marketing to execute on marketing plans and identify new business development opportunities.
Work collaboratively with the Associate Dean of Enrollment Marketing to manage the Berklee Summer Programs marketing budget related to Boston campus summer programs.
Manage the inquiry-to-student communication plan for summer programs, helping to draft compelling messaging and collaborating with operations, program directors, and the marketing automation team to ensure coordination of email, web, social, and phone campaigns and their alignment with business processes.
Manage third-party vendor relationship for paid search and advertising.
Work closely with External Affairs to manage social advertising and promotions.
Work closely with the marketing automation team to create compelling email campaigns, engagement programs, and landing pages.
Work closely with the Associate Director of Creative Services to manage the development of materials and content used to execute marketing programs, including print materials, video, information session presentations, giveaways, etc.
Monitor and maintain inventory of summer programs marketing materials.
Create web content to deliver clear messaging through the summer programs enrollment funnel for lead acquisition, registration/application submission, and student matriculation.
Develop partnerships with industry leaders and paid media partners for purposes of marketing collaboration.
Work closely with the Enrollment Strategic Research team to deliver regular reporting of marketing program results and effectiveness.
Collaborate with Berklee campus departments, including the Office of External Affairs, to maintain brand consistency and alignment with the rest of Berklee.
Assist the Enrollment division with institutional marketing efforts and operations as required to meet Berklee’s overall enrollment goals.
Support summer programs operations staff as needed to help manage the check-in experience when summer programs are in session.
This role will require weekend or evening hours one to three times per year.
