Develop communications that advance OMeGA’s mission.
Draft and submit donor applications, providing all information and materials requested. Create/maintain tracking system for all donor applications, grants and reconciliation, sharing usernames and passwords with OMeGA staff.
Assist with grant applicant notifications and assign/approve follow ups, as requested. Respond to inquiries, routing to others as appropriate.
Assist with gathering and creating stats from various sources. Generate graphs/figures using stats and lists from online grant management system data to be used on OMeGA’s website, donor reports, flyers, and subspecialty society communications.
Manage administrative issues related to the Board and Review Committee including drafting meeting minutes, polling attendees for meetings, and updating contacts.

OMeGA is a third-party, 501c3 administrator of orthopaedic residency and fellowship grants. OMeGA advances professional practice and enhances patient care by ensuring continued financial support of teaching programs without conflicts of interest or bias.
This full-time position builds on skills honed in college and takes it to the next step in a professional office setting. It’s ideal for people 2-3 years out of college who understand the importance of being trustworthy and responsible. Must be accountable for your own actions while understanding you don’t know all the questions or have all the answers. You’ll learn about association governance, a must if you think you might like to be an association executive someday.
Exceptional written communication skills. (Persuasive and expository writing samples will be required at the interview stage.)
Excellent grammar and proofing ability.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, with practical experience in Excel (formulas) and PowerPoint.
Ability to extend learning from one situation to another, and connect the dots between seemingly disparate responsibilities.
Superior researching capabilities.
Strong organizational skills: ability to prioritize and coordinate a high volume of projects and details simultaneously.
Good verbal communicator who can build relationships with volunteer leadership, staff and vendors.
Technically savvy and able to quickly master the grant management system database.
