This newly-created position will oversee planning and creation of branded content and copy development for all types of mediums. The ideal candidate must be an extremely motivated individual with strong communication skills and the ability to function successfully in a growing, dynamic, fast-paced organization. Above all, we are seeking to hire an innovator to join a dynamic marketing team and take a leadership role in how we plan, develop and curate content.
Responsibilities:
The Writer, Content Manager is responsible for planning content creation as well as writing, editing and proofing copy for various projects, including all web content, online and offline marketing copy, articles, essays and white papers on the industry and its various constituents, scripts for video and presentations, speeches for key executives and communications to staff. The candidate will assist in developing brand tone and voice, insuring all content in all media channels meet brand tone and voice standards, generating content strategy ideas for industry partners and new content development appropriate for the brand. Expert grammar, editing, listening, research, and creative writing skills required, along with an ability to meet tight deadlines without comprise. A desire to be challenged daily and work in a fast-paced and highly motivated team environment is essential. Specific responsibilities include the following:
• Developing all content strategy based on business and communication objectives • Determining projects' overall content requirements and potential content sources • Developing innovative solutions for content presentation, including content management, workflow, and maintenance • Writing and/or editing content in support of multi-channel lifecycle marketing efforts (awareness, consideration, purchase, loyalty) targeting both business and technical audiences • Helping to develop messaging/content strategy in the form of messaging platforms and copy blocks for solution areas and value propositions • Working with stakeholders to edit collateral and marketing pieces, turning technical data into informative and persuasive customer-facing content • Creating, publishing and enforcing brand tone and voice and editorial guidelines. • Providing editorial direction for the development of product marketing collateral, corporate events communications, as well as oversee localization processes for targeted accounts • Developing clear, creative, and compelling copy for print and online content including: o Print materials: Company, solution and marketplace overview brochures, case studies/customer testimonials, etc. o Digital: web and micro site content, video scripts, email campaigns, newsletters and blog posts o Executive Communications: presentation and or speech development for internal and external meetings/events such as sales meetings, product launches, tradeshow and speaking opportunities at industry events o Corporate messaging and branding consistency by creating templates and guidelines in conjunction with the team’s designer • Working closely with other marketing team members and outside public relations staff, as necessary, to write technically accurate, compelling and creative content • Working with each department's assigned representatives to define content goals. • Working closely with VP of Communications to input content via the content management system and/or Word documents • Collaborating with account operations team to develop resources, talking points, presentations and communications products for customer-facing teams • Authoring and distributing timelines and action plans for project completion to team members
